Date: Saturday October 1, 2016
Time: 8:30 AM to 4.00 PM
Location: The Haas Center, St. Thomas’ Church, Whitemarsh, PA
As life events swirl around us, we take a day to find stillness in the centre of the storm.
Through the practice of Qi Gong and meditation, we will calm the body and still the mind to find tranquility. We will practice staying present to what arises and holding ourselves with kind friendliness and forgiveness.
The day will consist of sitting meditation, walking meditation and Qi Gong practice. Participants will be asked to maintain silence throughout the day including during the lunch break that will be held on site. Please bring your own lunch. Beverages will be provided.
Retreat instructors Deborah Cooper and Paul Martin will offer guidance during the day. Deborah is a practicing licensed counselor and Mindfulness Meditation instructor. Paul is an experienced teacher of Qi Gong with many years of practice and teaching experience.
Space is limited to 25 participants. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. To register, or for further information, please call Deborah Cooper at 215-248-0489 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The instructors offer this retreat free of charge. Participants may choose to make a donation in the Buddhist tradition of Dāna.
The church is located at the corner of Bethlehem Pike and Church Road. (The GPS location address is 7020 Camp Hill Road, Fort Washington, PA 19034)
